11-160 Qualifications:
Rate Engineering is seeking a highly motivated professional to join their
team as an Analyst. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in
a technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting,
Statistics or Finance. Must have 2 years experience performing detailed
analytical and technical studies. Must have excellent computer skills,
including Microsoft Word and Excel and SAS. Must possess excellent oral and
written communication, decision making and interpersonal skills. Experience
with statistics and sampling methodologies preferred. Experience in utility
or electricity/gas analysis a plus. Responsibilities:
The prime functions of the Analyst include the preparation of technical
analyses in support of load research and cost of service. The basic
objectives of this position are to ensure that the various departmental
studies provide sound empirical support for rate studies and proposals and
reflect prescribed theoretical guidelines. The Analyst may also assist in the
preparation of demand analysis, a detailed analysis of customer usage
profiles using large load research and billing mainframe databases.
Coordinates with meter shop and field-support personnel in the implementation
and monitoring of load research samples. Interacts with information
technology personnel regarding load research data processing and reporting. Must have
a valid driver's license and able to travel within the Con Edison and O&R
service territories as required. |
